Throughout the examination, you will be attended by an experienced radiology technician who will direct you to a cubicle where you will need to put away all personal and electronic belongings and undress according to the technician’s instructions.
For most of the examinations that we perform, a contrast agent needs to be administered. The contrast agent is drunk or injected depending on which organ or body part is being examined.
CT scans can be stressful for patients suffering from claustrophobia.Due to the speed of the examination of 5-20 minutes and the relatively large space around you, most patients are able to handle it.
